Judy-ism
A Proof of Concept Short Film
Written by Emily Nash, Directed by Emily Lerer
The day before her wedding, Judy, a self proclaimed “Jew-ish” woman, takes a bite of Jewish apple cake and is catapulted back in time to the day before her dreaded bat mitzvah in a reverse 13 Going on 30 Jewish nightmare. Will she make it back to the chuppah in time to say "I do"? Hashem only knows.

It soon screened at a handful of other notable film festivals, including the 2023 Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, the 2024 Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival, the 2024 Big Apple Film Festival, and the 2024 Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. The film was also nominated for best short film by the Lonely Wolf International Film Festival and is now available to stream on Omeleto's comedy channel. The film will soon be licensed to stream on Jewish Life Television (JLTV) in early 2026.
