A Proof of Concept Short Film

Judy is a self-proclaimed “Jew-ish” woman planning her wedding to a non-Jewish man. While at the cake tasting in preparation for her wedding reception, Judy tastes a piece of Jewish apple cake and is catapulted back in time to to her dreaded bat mitzvah in a reverse 13 Going on 30 Jewish nightmare. Will she make it back to the future in time to say “I do” under the chuppah? Hashem only knows.
Judy-ism had its world premiere at the Oscar-Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival in the summer of 2023, followed by screenings at the 2023 Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival and the 2024 Cinequest Film Festival.
The script also made Coverfly's Red List.
